One perk of being over due!

Horacio convinced me to do it! It did make shopping a lot more pleasant! But I hope you don't see me in one of these for another 50 years!

Construction

Most of you know that we are 2 crazy people... but considering we decided to add a bathroom and family room onto the house when I am 9 months pregnant, we really are Crazy! Here are some pictures of the progress.

Luis came out for a week and a half to help! And what a great help he was!!

Horacio even installed in floor heating!!

Amazing tile work!!

We are almost done with the bathroom! But I am beginning to worry that Bear is waiting for the bathroom to be finished before he comes! We'll see which comes first!

Soon we will be posting videos of Bear doing amazing things... but for now, we have Amigo... our amazing jumping dog. (Sorry it is sideways!)

Here is a picture of Amigo and me hanging out in our kitchen. Amigo is a dog. Amigo is our amigo. Amigo sometimes thinks he is a lap dog. I sometimes think Amigo is a human. I can't wait for Bear to be born...can you tell?

Nicole's 30th Birthday!

For my 30th Birthday, Horacio took me on an amazing date night. We got all dressed up (thanks Megan for lending me a maternity dress I actually looked good in). Horacio made reservations at a really amazing restaurant called The Oceanaire. From the beginning, we were greeted with amazing service and they even printed "Happy 30th Birthday" on our menus. All their fish is flown in fresh that day... so we had a lot of great choices! And then for dessert they gave me a Flaming Alaska. Have you seen one of these? It is amazing! It is a chocolate cake with tower of ice cream, covered in meringue and then set on fire with a waterfall of flames! So cool, and so, so yummy!!

After dinner Horacio took me to see the musical Chicago. We had great seats and the musical was amazing. They did such a good job at telling the story with a limited stage, costume's and very few props.

I had an absolutely wonderful time! It was a very memorable birthday!

Las Mananitas

On my birthday Horacio woke me up at 5:45am with the song Las Mananitas. This is a typical way to celebrate someones birthday in the Mexican culture. Usually you would hire a Mariachi to come to your house early in the morning and wake up the person (and the neighborhood) with a live version of the song. Mariachis are a bit expensive in Denver, so YouTube was a good substitute! Plus I enjoyed listening to it in the comfort of my own bed!

He also woke me up that early to take me to my favorite place for breakfast, Kyles Kitchen. I love going out for breakfast, and will wake up at any ungodly hour just to go! But this morning God made it a little more special. It was beautiful out side.

Later that night I celebrated with 6 of my close girlfriends by going to dinner and a movie. I have been so blessed with a great group of friends, and rarely get a chance to just hang out with all girls. And since Horacio had class that night, I had a good excuse! Thank you ladies... I had a wonderful time with you!

All in all I had a great 3oth birthday!!
